The Game in Short
Prosperity Tree Baccarat is traditional Baccarat played with win multipliers that can boost payouts. It is very similar to Lightning Baccarat, XXXTreme Lightning Baccarat, and Golden Wealth Baccarat.
The core of the game is to guess if the side known as âPlayerâ or the side known as âBankerâ will receive a hand value closest to 9, or if it will be a draw between the two.
On each game round, the âBankerâ and âPlayerâ are dealt either two or three cards from a full deck of cards. The numbered cards are worth their numeric value while aces are worth 1 and all face cards are worth 0.
The value of the Bankerâs and Playerâs cards are added together and if it becomes larger than 9, it is subtracted by 10. For instance, a hand value of 14 would become a hand value of 4. The side with the highest hand value is the winning one.
The Win Multipliers
The special feature of Prosperity Tree Baccarat is that eight cards will receive a win multiplier – displayed electronically – before any real cards are dealt. This multiplier will either be x2 or x3.
For instance, the following cards may receive the following win multipliers:
- Jack of Clubs: x2
- Eight of Clubs: x2
- Six of Spades: x3
- Two of Hearts: x2
- Five of Diamonds: x3
- Five of Hearts: x3
- King of Spades: x2
- Three of Spades: x2
Now, if you bet on the âPlayerâ and this side wins with the Jack of Clubs and Six of Spades, your payout would be boosted by the corresponding win multipliers. These win multipliers are not additive but multiplicative. This means that the total boost to your winnings would be x6 (x2 * x3).
It’s important to note that a 20% fee is charged on every game round in Prosperity Tree Baccarat. If you bet R100, your actual bet would only be R80. This fee is what makes it possible for the higher potential payouts in the game since the odds of winning are the same as in traditional baccarat.

There are five ways to place a bet in the game, three of which we already covered: Player, Banker, and Tie.
The Banker Pair and Player Pair are side bets which are won if the two first cards that are dealt to the Banker or Player form a pair. For instance, if the Player receives the six of clubs and six of hearts.
The minimum payouts in the table show you what you will win from each bet if no multiplier cards are in play. On the contrary, the maximum payouts show you what the win is when the winning hand only consists of multiplier cards, each card having a win multiplier of x3.
The maximum payout in Prosperity Tree Baccarat is 3645:1, also known as 3645x or 3645 times the amount you bet. This is achieved by winning a tie bet where both the Player and Banker receive three cards and all these cards have a win multiplier of x3.
Such a scenario would result in a total win multiplier of x729 (3 * 3 * 3 * 3 * 3 * 3). This win multiplier would then be multiplied by the initial payout of the bet which is 5:1, adding up to a massive win of 3645x.
Return to Player (RTP)
The RTP in Prosperity Tree Baccarat ranges from 92.53% – 98.89%. As shown in the table below, it is different for different bets.

Like all baccarat games, the most profitable bet to place in Prosperity Tree Baccarat is the Player bet which comes with a very high RTP of 98.89%, closely followed by the Banker bet. This is a higher payout percentage than most live dealer games which tend to range between 95% â 97%.
On the contrary, the Tie bet and the two side bets have a very low RTP. This RTP is one of the lowest among casino games although it should be mentioned that it is substantially higher than that of traditional Baccarat. Normally, traditional baccarat games have an RTP of 85% for the tie bet and 89% for the side bets, making Prosperity Tree Baccarat a much better option.
Fun Factor
I find Prosperity Tree Baccarat to be a decent game that I think many fans of Baccarat can appreciate. However, as already mentioned, it is very similar to Lightning Baccarat, Golden Wealth Baccarat, and XXXtreme Lightning Baccarat which are also created and hosted by Evolution Gaming. Therefore, I was a bit shocked to see the release of this particular game.
Prosperity Tree Baccarat is less volatile though, which makes it more appealing to players who rather take fewer risks than have a chance of winning huge amounts. Where the other games only have 1, 4, or 5 guaranteed win multiplying cards per round, Prosperity Tree Baccarat has 8.
The win multipliers are lower though as the highest one in Prosperity Tree Baccarat is x3, while the other games have multipliers of up to x8, x8, and x10. Thatâs why you donât have the potential to win as much in Prosperity Tree Baccarat. You are, however, much more likely to score decent-sized winnings thanks to the many guaranteed cards.
Personally, Iâm not a fan of the core gameplay of Baccarat and in general, I like games with the potential of winning huge amounts. In Prosperity Tree Baccarat, betting on the Player or Banker has a max win of 27:1 which is too low for my taste. And while the other bets pay more, the RTP of these bets is also too low for my taste.
Therefore, Prosperity Tree Baccarat is not a game I would personally choose to play when gambling online. However, if you do like Baccarat and the idea of being able to win more than in the traditional game, without taking much more of a risk, Iâd definitely recommend giving this one a go.
Strategies
In Prosperity Tree Baccarat, gameplay strategies are pretty much limited to the RTP of each bet.
In traditional Baccarat, you can apply betting systems such as Martingale, Paroli, and DâAlembert to the Player and Banker bets. However, these strategies assume that you will win 1:1 when you win. Due to the multiplier cards, this is often not the case in Prosperity Tree Baccarat. Additionally, the 20% fee that you must pay on each game round messes up the strategies.
Therefore, the strategy in Prosperity Tree Baccarat is to focus on each bet’s return to player percentage. The optimal strategy suggests sticking to the Player bet for the best chances of profiting. The Tie and Pair bets can quickly erode your balance with their comparatively lower RTPs.
However, these types of bets may still be worth placing since they can pay a lot more than the Player bet â especially the Tie bet with its 3645x potential payout.
