Founded in 2018, 22BET is offering one of the most impressive gambling platforms that exist for Indian players – at least so in terms of game selection. With over 6,000 games they're like three or four casinos in one, which is quite remarkable.

Everything that glitters isn't gold though and 22BET does have its downsides, customer support being a huge one for me. Let's take a deeper look at what you can expect playing at 22BET.

Trustworthiness

As you may or may not know, there is a lot of controversy about 22Bet and many claim that the site isn't safe. I've looked into this with the ambition of painting you an honest and accurate picture of the casino.

Is it safe to play at 22BET?

In the UK, 22Bet used to be licensed by the UK Gambling Commission which is one of the most reputable organizations in the online gambling industry. However, as of 2021 or 2022, its no longer licensed by this entity. We don't know why. it may be that they lost their license due to poor practices or they just decided to pull out of the UK for strategic reasons.

In India, 22BET is licensed by the Kahnawake Gambling Commission under license number 00867. They also hold a license from Antillephone N.V. in Curacao. The former license is a reputable one that speaks towards the legitimacy of 22Bet.

As for Curacao, there are many great gambling sites that are licensed here, but most of the ones that are dishonest and treat players poorly are also licensed by this entity. The same cannot be said about a license in Kahnawake. I have never come across an online casino with such a license that has been dishonest.

What's my personal opinion?

From the limited time I have spent playing on 22Bet, my biggest concern has been customer support which is utterly useless. Keeping in mind that many have disapproved of 22Bet, talking with support certainly makes me question its legitimacy.

However, when it comes to withdrawals and gameplay, I haven't personally experienced anything wrong. 22Bet asks for verification documents, but so do all legitimately licensed online casinos. However, there are a few downsides to point out that you wouldn't find at the best slot casinos in India. The categorization of games is not done very well. You have a few options to sort slots by, but it's not particularly user-friendly.

You cannot sort games by bonus buy slots, megaways or other features, which you can at many casino sites. You can find a category for jackpot slots, but this sounds better than it is.

The jackpot category is not only home to progressive jackpot slots, which it should be. It is also home to a ton of normal slots. This makes it really hard to find a game you're looking for – a game that can provide you with a life-changing win with only a small stake.

While the selection of slots is huge, some of the most famous game developers in the industry don't have their slots featured at 22Bet. This includes Blueprint Gaming, NetEnt, Yggdrasil and Play'n GO. There are still a ton of great games to play, but this is certainly a bummer for me.

The selection of live dealer games is absolutely amazing at 22Bet. At some casino sites, you find one or two platforms for live casino and at some, you find up to five. Rarely do you find 20, but that's exactly what you do at 22Bet.

Customer Support

The best thing about 22Bet's customer support is that it’s available in Hindi and can be reached 24/7 on live chat. However, I am not satisfied at all with it. Sometimes it’s alright, but more often than not you have to wait forever to get a reply. I’m not just talking about several minutes, but I’ve experienced half an hour passing by like nothing.

I find this to be totally unacceptable. There are so many gambling sites in India that offer fantastic customer support that no one should have to put up with the standard at 22Bet. Not only are the agents slow, but they don't seem knowledgeable about their site either or eager to help for that matter. It's like they don't care.

While there aren't a lot of promotional offers at 22Bet, I am quite pleased with its casino bonuses. They have honest terms and conditions and provide pretty good value for players.

Many bonuses at casino sites can't be wagered at live dealer games at all and those that can often have a wagering requirement of 350x.

At the time of writing this review, 22Bet is also running a weekly lottery where tickets are earned via deposits. This is quite a neat promotion as any player has the chance to win up to ₹8,000 in cash, an iPhone or a Macbook.

For high rollers, weekly slot races are also running which offer ₹8 lakh prize pools, the first prize being ₹1.2 lakh. In these, the goal is simply to wager as much money as possible on slots during a given week.

Loyalty Rewards

The loyalty program at 22BET is very simple but fairly good. You earn a loyalty point for every ₹800 that you wager on casino games and sports. These can be exchanged into free bets and free spins. The value is equal to 0.1% rakeback on casino and 0.2% rakeback on sports.

It may not be the best loyalty program that exists, but the value is pretty good, especially for live dealer games. Points will stack up without thinking about it and eventually give you a nice cash boost.
