Do you want to play Monopoly Live?

Introduction

Created by Evolution Gaming, Monopoly Live is one of the most popular live dealer games and it’s available at almost every online casino in India. It’s a highly entertaining and action-packed lucky-wheel game that offers the chance of winning 10,000 times your stake – up to ₹500 lakh at the very most

While the game itself is very amusing, the sugar on the top is a talkative game host that is there to up the fun factor. You can also interact with other players through a chat.

Now let’s get straight to the point and teach you how to play Monopoly Live!

How to Play Monopoly Live in 9 Short Steps

Below is a quick way of learning how Monopoly Live is played. If you want the full game guide you will find this right after.

Step 1: Open the game

Step 1
Sign up and make a deposit at an Indian Online Casino that has the game available and simply open it up. Not sure where to start? Find a full list of casinos here.

Step 2: Place your bets

Step 2
There are six different bets that can be placed. Four numbers that pay 1 – 10 times your stake and two bonus positions that trigger a Monopoly board game bonus.

Step 3: Spin the wheel

Step 3
The host of the game will now spin the wheel which contains all of the numbers, bonus positions, as well as two additional areas of orange chance cards.

Step 4: Stops at a number

Step 4
If you’ve bet on the number that the wheel stops at you will get paid a cash prize. This prize is based on the payout value of the number; 1x, 2x, 5x or 10x your stake.

Step 5: Stops at a chance

Step 5
If this happens, a chance card will either grant you a cash prize based on your total bets or add a win multiplier to the next spin. The multiplier can boost payouts by up to x10.

Step 6: Stops at a roll

Step 6
This will trigger the bonus of the game which is the big highlight – it’s a monopoly board. You can either play the bonus with two or four dice rolls. The wheel decides!

Step 7: The bonus game

Step 7
In the bonus, you move around the board to collect cash prizes from properties and hope to avoid fees and other bad positions. The further from the start the property is, the more it will generally pay. You can also win from chance card positions and community chests.

Step 8: Dices are rolled

Step 8
This will determine how far you move on the bonus board. Each roll can move you 12 positions at most and 2 at the very least. If you roll doubles, you get to roll again and if you manage to pass go, (lap the board) all new cash prizes collected from properties will be doubled.

Step 9: Collect rewards

Step 9
When you land on a property you’ll get the cash value of it. This is described as a multiplier to the stake that you used to bet on the bonus position (2 rolls or 4 rolls). If a chance multiplier was hit prior to the bonus game, this multiplier will boost all winnings in the bonus.

Full How to Guide of Playing Monopoly Live

Monopoly Live is a simple game with a very amusing twist. It’s centered on a money wheel that consists of 7 different types of positions – 54 in total. When bet on, these positions can earn you cash prizes and trigger a bonus game. They can also boost all of your potential winnings by adding a multiplier to them.

Here are the different types of wheel positions and the quantity of them as well as an image of the wheel:

The Goal of the Game

When playing Monopoly Live, the goal of the game is simply to have the money wheel stop at any of the positions that you have placed a bet on. This is how you win. With that being said, there’s a lot more depth to it.

The true goal of the game is to trigger a bonus that is played very similarly to the famous board game known as Monopoly. This is where the big money is to be found. However, it doesn’t stop here.

The very ultimate goal of Monopoly Live is having the wheel stop at a chance position that can add a win multiplierA win multiplier is a term that describes a bonus mechanic in casino games. It means that your payouts will be boosted by a certain coefficient such as 10 times (x10) or 50 times (x50). to your payouts and then after that trigger the bonus game. This is where wealth comes in abundance.

Payouts and Betting Options

As explained and illustrated above, there are seven different positions on the money wheel of Monopoly Live. You are able to place a bet on all of these except one – the chance card position.

When bet on, the numbers will pay you a cash prize of 1, 2, 5 or 10 times your stake depending on the number, while the rolls will trigger a board game bonus with either 2 or 4 dice rolls.

Here are all of the wheel positions listed with minimum and maximum bet, as well as payouts:

Bet OptionsMinimum BetMaximum BetPayout
Number 1105 lakh1:1 (2 times your bet)
Number 2105 lakh2:1 (3 times your bet)

2 rolls101 lakhBonus (up to ₹500 lakh)
4 rolls1050,000.00Bonus (up to ₹500 lakh)
ChanceN/AN/AMultiplier or Cash Prize

As you can see, it is not possible to bet on chance, but this is a bonus position. Let’s elaborate on that by heading over to the bonus features of Monopoly Live.

Bonus Features in Monopoly Live

Now we’ve come to the reason why many Indian online casino enthusiasts play Monopoly Live – the bonuses. There are two of them in the game; chance cards and a board game bonus.

The Chance Cards

This feature is triggered whenever the money wheel stops on any of its two chance card positions. When this occurs a chance card will be drawn and one of the following two things will happen:

  1. A small cash prize will be awarded to you
  2. A multiplier of up to x10 will be revealed
chance 10x

The multiplier is what you want. This will lock all of the stakes that you have placed on the bet panel and then the wheel will spin again with all payout values being boosted. The below table is an example of what it can look like:

Bet OptionsOriginal PayoutX5 MultiplierX10 Multiplier
Number 11:15:110:1
Number 22:110:120:1
Number 55:125:150:1
Number 1010:150:1100:1

As you can see, this multiplier is very valuable. If you get the x10 you suddenly have a chance of winning 101 times your stake if you’ve placed a bet on number 10. But it gets better.

The multipliers can multiply with each other. What does this mean? It means that if a spin that granted an x10 multiplier is followed by another stop at a chance card that grants an x10 multiplier, the spin after that will now be multiplied by 100!

But we’re not finished yet. The multiplier will also boost all payouts that are made from the board game bonus of Monopoly Live. Let's check out that bonus!

The Board Game Bonus

There are two nearly identical versions of the board game bonus in Monopoly Live. One that is played with 2 dice rolls, which is triggered by the money wheel stopping on 2 rolls and one that is played with 4. This is triggered by the money wheel stopping on 4 rolls.

Unlike the chance cards that come as an extra feature, the board game bonus can only be taken part of if you have placed a bet on the bonus position that the wheel stops on. This particular stake is what the bonus will be played with.

When playing the board game bonus of Monopoly Live, you will roll dices to move around a Monopoly board. You will either start with 2 or 4 depending on which bonus is triggered. If you roll doubles you get to roll again.

There are a total of 40 different positions that you can land on. The majority of them will grant you cash prizes based on your stake, but there are also bad positions that will remove some of your winnings (only winnings earned in the actual bonus) and send you to jail.

Here’s a more thorough explanation of all the different board game positions:

Board PositionQuantityReward / PunishmentMore Info

Income Tax1Pay a feeBonus winnings reduced by 10%
Super Tax1Pay a feeBonus winnings reduced by 20%
Go (passing Go)1All cash prizes are doubledApplies to new cash prizes only

All properties, utilities and railways originally have a payout value of 1 – 100 times your stake. The further away they are from the start, the more they pay.

However, in the beginning of the bonus houses and hotels will be randomly built on properties which can boost these values with up to 5 times as much (and occasionally even slightly more).

If you manage to make a full lap of the board and pass go (which is the starting position) all payout values will be further increased as they are doubled.

On top of this, any chance card multiplier that was hit before the bonus will also boost all payout values by this coefficient.

All of this makes it possible for really big winnings to occur in the bonus, which is illustrated by the below image:

The RTP and Volatility in Monopoly Live

If you’re familiar with RTPRTP stands for "Return to Player" and is a percentual value that all casino games have. It shows you how much you are expected to win in the long run. A game with a 96% RTP is for instance expected to return ₹96 for every ₹100 staked., you know that this value is important for your long term chances of winning, while volatilityVolatility is best described as risk versus reward. High volatility often means difficult to win, but you can win huge amounts. Low volatility usually means easy to win, but you won't win as much. is a measure of risk versus reward.

In Monopoly Live the RTP varies a lot between different bet options – from 91.30% to 96.23%. We have illustrated this below along with volatility levels and the probability of hitting a certain position.

Bet OptionsChance of HittingRTPVolatility
Number 140.7%92.88%Very low
Number 227.8%96.23%Low
Number 513%91.30%Low
Number 107.4%96.02%Medium
2 rolls5.6%93.90%High
4 rolls1.8%93.67%High
Chance3.7%N/AN/A

As you can see, betting on number 2 and 10 is what will give you the best chances of winning in the long run. The bonus positions are a bit behind, but you probably want to bet on these anyway as they are the point of the game and hold the best payout potential by far.

Number 1 and 5 are considered to be very bad by many live casino players in India and we agree. They are basically the same as number 2 and 10 but with a significantly lower RTP. They do, however, hold value to some players, which we will elaborate on shortly when taking a look at game strategies.

Before doing this, we want to highlight the fact that the board game bonus is quite volatile. If you bet on both 2 rolls and 4 rolls you will trigger the bonus in about 1 in 13 game rounds. This isn’t that bad. However, to compensate for the massive potential that the bonuses have, many of them actually don’t pay more than 10 times your stake. But when they do pay… oh boy, it can get crazy!

Three Different Monopoly Live Strategies

Because of volatility levels and RTP varying quite a lot in Monopoly Live, a couple of different strategies have emerged that speak to different kinds of players. We have listed the three most common ones below:

Strategy 1: Bet on 2, 10, 2 Rolls and 4 Rolls (the Average Joe Strategy)

This is the most popular strategy that Indians and live casino players all over the world use. It maximizes the game’s RTP while still keeping the huge potential from the board game bonus. It’s a bit volatile, but since the 2 is included, which you will win on very often, it’s not that bad. Here’s an example of what it can look like:

– Bet ₹30 on number 2 (pays ₹90 if you win)
– Bet ₹10 on number 10 (pays ₹110 if you win)
– Bet ₹20 on 2 roll bonus
– Bet ₹20 on 4 roll bonus

In this example, you’re betting a total of ₹80. If number 2 or 10 hits you will always make a profit and you’re also likely to do so if you land the bonus game.

Strategy 2: Bet on Everything (the Chance Card Strategy)

Betting on everything is a strategy that heavily relies on hitting the chance card or bonus game. It’s impossible to place your bets on the numbers in a way that you’ll win from all of them. One or several of them will always result in a loss.

It may sound like a terrible strategy and we honestly don’t think it’s great as the RTP is the lowest of them all. However, when the multiplier of the chance card hits you will be guaranteed to benefit from it, which you wouldn’t with any of the other two strategies. This is its strength.

Strategy 3: Bet Only on 2 Rolls and 4 Rolls (the Lady Luck Strategy)

This strategy is obviously very volatile as the only way that you can profit from it is through the bonus game. The numbers mean nothing and the chance cards will rarely benefit you much. So why use it?

Simply because you can dedicate more of your bankroll to the bonus. If you get lucky and hit the bonus this is how you’re able to win the most (provided that you actually bet more on the bonus than you would using the other two strategies). The RTP is also decent.

The Interface and Live Experience of the Game

Monopoly live interface
Image explains some the interface that you’ll encounter in the game

Playing Monopoly Live, there is a bit more to it than just the strategies, the money wheel and the bonus features. It’s a live casino game that offers an experience that is shared with other Indian players and online gamblers all around the world.

If you would like to, you are able to socialize with other players through a chat and also with the game host that is initiating each and every wheel spin. Chosen by Evolution Gaming – the creator of Monopoly Live – the game hosts are very energetic and quick to reply to messages that are sent in the chat. They really put an effort into entertaining players.

A neat feature that you’ll experience whenever you play Monopoly Live is also that you’re able to see how much each and every player has won on every game round. You may think that it doesn’t matter and it really doesn’t, but along with the chat it gives that added sense of the game being a social one that is played together with other people.

How is Monopoly Live Played on Mobile Devices?

It works the exact same way as on desktop computers and laptops. The only difference is that the interface looks a bit different and that the quality of the stream isn’t as good. Other than that everything is identical. Check out the below images!
