Boom City is an action-packed, lovely-looking and fun-filled live dealer game played with a talkative game host. It comes with three lucrative bonus games and a win multiplying feature that can boost your bankroll by up to 20,000 times your bet amount.

- Maximum win: 20,000x
- Time per round: 25s – 2.5m
- Betting range: ₹5 – ₹1.5 lakhs

The Game in Short
Boom City consists of 36 fields which are represented by eight different symbols as follows:
|Bronze||12 – 13||Cash prize|
|Silver||9 – 11||Cash prize|
|Gold||4 – 6||Cash prize|
|Dice Battle||1 – 2||Bonus game|
|Lucky Drop||1 – 2||Bonus game|
|Boom or Bust||0 – 1||Bonus game|
|Bust||0 – 2||Instant loss|
On each game round the symbols are scrambled to randomly appear on the 36 fields. Two dice that are thrown determine which field is selected as the winning outcome in each round.
A bet can be placed on bronze, silver or gold, which would instantly award a cash prize if determined as the winning outcome. It is also possible to bet on Dice Battle, Lucky Drop and Boom or Bust, which are bonus games that would be played if determined as the outcome. These bonuses work the following way:
- Dice Battle – Choose one of two dice that you think will score the highest total on three rolls. The total multiplier is rewarded as a win if you guess correctly. If a dice wins with 18 as a score, an extra prize of 500x is added.
- Lucky Drop – Pick one of six columns numbered 1 – 6. These have four sets of win multipliers on them. Two dice are rolled three times and when a dice shows the same number as a column, one of the win multipliers is added as a prize. The top prize from a column is awarded when the same number is hit four times.
- Boom or Bust – Advance through seven levels and decide on each if you want to stop and take your money or take a risk and continue to win more. Each level has a set of symbols that can award win multipliers and end the bonus game. The higher the level, the more the multipliers pay. There are also symbols that will instantly take you to a higher level.
The PowerUP and Bust field of Boom City cannot be bet on. However, if the PowerUP is selected as the winning outcome, this will boost the payout of 24 randomly selected fields by x2 – x5. Dices will then be rolled again to determine a new winning outcome.
If PowerUPs happen back-to-back and a field is affected by several PowerUPs, these multiply each other. For instance, one x3 multiplier from a PowerUP followed by an x5 multiplier from another would result in a total boost of x15.
The Bust fields in Boom City will instantly end a game round with no prizes awarded. However, when a PowerUP field is selected as the winning outcome, this turns all of the Bust fields into paying symbols, with prizes ranging from 20x – 50x.
Payouts, RTP and Volatility
Boom City has a maximum win potential of 20,000 times the amount you bet. With a minimum bet of ₹5, you could win ₹1 lakh, while a bet of ₹100 could award you ₹20 lakh.
Theoretically, the game could pay a lot more by hitting PowerUP fields several times in a row, which could lead to a huge win multiplier. However, there is a hard cap in the game, which caps the maximum payout in Boom City to 20,000x or ₹2.5 crore.
Without any PowerUP multiplier applied, the symbols in the game pay as follows:
|Dice Battle (bonus)||6x – 572x|
|Lucky Drop (bonus)||10x – 726x|
|Boom or Bust (bonus)||5x – 500x|
All of the three bonus games in Boom City can pay over 500 times the amount you bet, while the normal symbols only come with smaller cash prizes.
To win the most, you want to hit the PowerUP feature at least once before hitting a bonus game. For instance, if the PowerUP feature grants an x5 multiplier, the bonus games would have a boosted win potential of more than 2,500x.
The RTP in Boom City ranges from 93.49% – 96.21% according to the game's description. Unfortunately, it is not shared what RTP each individual bet in the game has which is something I criticize Pragmatic Play on.
While an RTP of 96.21% is good and equal to other casino games, an RTP of 93.49% is lower than the average. It is too low in my opinion and therefore it would have been nice to know exactly what RTP each bet in the game has.
The volatility in Boom City is medium-high and quite well-balanced. As can be seen in the table below, hitting one of the bonus games where the biggest wins take place, happen in about 1 in 10 game rounds.
|Symbol||Chance to hit|
|Bronze||33% – 36%|
|Silver||25% – 30%|
|Gold||11% – 16%|
|Dice Battle||3% – 5%|
|Lucky Drop||3% – 5%|
|Boom or Bust||0% – 3%|
I absolutely love Boom City and everything about it. Just launching the game and looking at it you immediately know that you’re in for a good time. The design is marvelous.
The captivating graphics are paired with a ton of excitement from all of the game’s different features that regularly occur. On average, you don’t have to wait longer than six rounds for the PowerUP win multiplier or one of the bonus games to strike.
Speaking about the bonus games, these are unlike any other game shows that can be played at gambling sites. Nothing was copied from another game provider, but the developer came up with their own ideas which make Boom City unique and fresh. It’s a perfect game to include in a gambling session.
There’s no shortage of prizes either as up to 20,000 times the bet amount can be won. This could be quite life-changing. I always love having the chance of winning enormous amounts even if that chance is slim.
Adding to the experience of Boom City are also the lovely game hosts that constantly speak to players, as well as the many players who constantly write in the game’s chat. It’s truly an immersive and lively experience that I would recommend to anyone.
In terms of having maximum chances of winning, the best strategy in Boom City would be to place bets only on those alternatives that have the highest RTP. However, as the individual RTP for each bet isn’t revealed in the game, this is not a possibility.
Another strategy in Boom City is to always bet on all six positions. The point of this is to maximize the chance of profiting from the PowerUP feature whenever this is hit. If a position isn’t bet on and it receives a win multiplier, you wouldn’t be able to profit from that boost.
You can also leave out the bronze, silver and gold positions by only betting on the bonus games and choosing to bet a higher amount than you otherwise would. This is a risky strategy that could pay off greatly.
As the bonus games are only triggered on 1 in 10 game rounds on average, you are expected to lose quite a bit before experiencing one. However, if you get lucky in the bonus game and this pays a lot, having a big bet placed on it could suddenly sky-rocket your balance.
At the end of the day, my recommended strategy is to play Boom City the way that makes the most sense to you and your bankroll and gives you the most enjoyment. After all, the game is all about entertainment and having a good time.
