The Game in Short
In Adventures Beyond Wonderland, you place a bet on up to four different numbers and up to three different bonus positions. A big money wheel is then spun and whatever outcome it stops on will be the winner. The numbers pay a fixed prize from 2 – 11 times your stake, while the bonus positions will trigger one of two bonuses where payouts can become significantly higher.
Additionally, each wheel spin comes with a chance of a blue caterpillar boosting the payout of one of the numbered positions by up to x10. Then there’s also a mystery segment on the wheel which can trigger one of two additional features.
In the mystery features, you either get to pick a card that will pay a multiplier of up to 10 times your total bet or experience random bet positions receiving a boost to their payouts. With the latter, the wheel will spin again to determine the winning outcome and if lucky, the mystery segment will once again hit.
The three bonus positions you can bet on in the game are 2 Wonderspins, 5 Wonderspins and Magic Dice. In the Wonderspins bonus, the wheel will turn into an improved one with higher payouts. In the Magic Dice bonus, you choose a dice that will be rolled to lead you through a maze with winnings up to 100x.
I find this game to be an absolute blast for several reasons. There are a lot of things going on and as often as 1 in 7 game rounds a bonus feature will trigger. Therefore, the level of excitement is always high.
The graphics in the game are also stunning. It’s undoubtedly one of the best-looking live dealer games to date. Plenty of cool animations are mixed in with a studio setting that’s already gorgeous. I guess I also like the fact that the theme is based on Alice in Wonderland, which is a story I personally love.
What’s more to like is the social aspect of the game. There’s always a host talking with players and pretty much all of them are great. They’re put there to keep us entertained and, in my opinion, they do a great job. It’s nice to be able to write in a chat and receive a reply while playing. Not everyone may like this aspect of course, but I definitely think it adds to an already good gaming experience.
The potential payouts in Adventures Beyond Wonderland is definitely something that adds to the fun of playing the game. They aren’t as massive as they are in Crazy Time, which is a similar money wheel type of game, but it isn’t uncommon to win up to 100 times your bet amount and to me, this is pretty good.
Winnings can get a lot higher too under the right circumstances. For instance, in the Wonderspins bonus, the wheel will turn into a new one with six positions that can pay anything from x2 – x50. Not only do you get multiple spins (they can reach 10+), but if the Mystery position was hit before the Wonderspins, payouts could also be boosted. Let me explain.
There’s a chance that the Mystery position will hit and result in the Wonderspins bet position receiving an x10 multiplier. It could even be that several Mystery positions are hit back-to-back, resulting in an even bigger multiplier. This is very rare though. Anyhow, if you enter the Wonderspins bonus with an x10 multiplier, the wheel positions would now pay x20 – x500. And you’re in for several spins.
It’s not only the potential of the payouts that I like about the game. I also love the fact that the RTP is almost the same for all bets. It ranges from 96.58% – 96.82%. This means that all bets are viable to place, which adds to the fun of playing the game as it allows you to mix things up. In some other games, there’s a big difference between the RTP of bets, which naturally makes you want to exclude the bad ones.
Some websites may tell you about strategies in Adventures Beyond Wonderland, but because of the way the game is designed and because of the RTP between bets being very similar, I wouldn’t use them. Let me explain more thoroughly.
You could play the game by only betting on the bonus positions and some people may call that a strategy. However, by doing so you’re missing out on the random win multiplier which the caterpillar can add, which only affects numbers. You may also miss out on the extra payouts that can be added from the Mystery feature. We’re talking about potential winnings of 20x – 100x your stake, or possibly more.
As I see it, the only valid “strategy” to use would be to bet on all positions, because then you’re always guaranteed to reap the benefits of all features in the game. It’s a shame having a feature trigger and not being able to take advantage of it. And since the RTP is similar among all bets, there’s nothing bad about betting on all positions.
At the end of the day, I would, however, only suggest that you play the game exactly the way you want to. Include or exclude whatever positions you want and experiment with different bet sizes on different bet positions. Just do what feels right and most fun to you. It’s all about enjoyment.
